Example #1: Let's say an affiliate signs up at your website and drives 5 sales per month to your site with a $197.00 product with a 25% commission. You would pay them about $248.75 per month because they increased your gross sales by $985.

Example #2 (Adding a 2nd tier): Let's say that the above affiliate gets 10 affiliates of their own to sign up to sell for you.

Let's say just 3 of those sites generates the 5 sales per month each of the same product.

You would pay $248.75 per month on their 25% commission plus a $298.50 per month commission off the 10% referral commissions.

You are selling an additional 65% - 75% more by leveraging a network of affiliates you would not have normally had, AND you acquired the customer's data, information and goodwill.

It is a "win-win" situation because you are only paying out commissions when sales happen, not on leads.
